Flavonall® is a broad-spectrum flavonoid-based supplement and delivers eight of the most concentrated and well-researched standardized plant extracts that are of the highest quality.
Pine bark extract (Pycnogenol®) and grape seed extract are rich in proanthocyanidins, which are highly regarded for their strong antioxidant properties. Flavonall® provides the original pine bark extract from the European coastal pine (Pinus maritima) containing 85% proanthocyanidins. A high-quality European grape seed extract (from Vitis vinifera) with a minimum of 92% proanthocyanidins is also included.
Other antioxidants in the formula include bilberry and green tea. Green tea (Camellia sinensis) provides polyphenolic catechins, such as catechin, epicatechin, epigallocatechin (EGC), and EGC gallate (EGCG). Antioxidants are critical to good health as they can scavenge free radicals in the body decreasing potential harmful effects such as lipid membrane disruption and alterations to DNA.
Flavonall® also contains citrus bioflavonoids, which contribute to the overall antioxidants provided by this unique formula. The peel of the citrus fruit contains the flavonoids hesperidin and naringin. Additionally, supplementation with bioflavonoids has shown to increase the bioavailability of vitamin C when taken together comapred to vitamin C supplementation alone.
